Gear review policy and disclosures

Some - but not all - of the hunting gear discussed in this blog was provided free for review. Which is which?

Provided at no cost:
- Alpen Optics binoculars (review pending)
- Cabela's Cazadora Waders (prototypes provided for product testing)
- Filson chaps, safari cloth pants (I gave away both after the review)
- Foxy Huntress pants, shooting shirt (not reviewed, but seen in photos), jacket
- Red Wing Shoes/Irish Setter Ladyhawk boots
- SHE Safari shooting shirt (not reviewed, but seen in photos)

Paid wholesale price for:
- Trailfeathers camo trekker jacket and double-fly pants (review pending)

Paid full price for:
- Gunfitting with Dale Tate
- Filson shooting shirt
- Prois Hunting Apparel pants, long-sleeve T
- SHE Safari brush pants, upland vest (gave away brush pants)
- Walker's Game Ear

I do not require gear (or services) to be provided gratis in order for me to review it, and I review gear honestly whether I paid for it or not - see for yourself. However, because I do not get paid for my gear reviews and I'm not made of money, I gratefully accept free items for review. Feel free to email me here if you have questions about this policy.
