Last night was an accomplishment, if for no other reason than that all the meats - absolutely all of them - would normally be coyote and magpie food. This year, in an effort to make as much use of the animal as possible, I took as much offal as I could. My adventures in the kitchen - with game anyway - currently consist of my boyfriend trying to persuade me to cook the stuff. I'm fearless about cooking Mexican food with store-bought ingredients, but terrified of doing a disservice to something I killed by making it taste less than wonderful.
