My boyfriend, celebrity food blogger

Not that I have any personal right to be proud of this, but I just wanted to let y'all know that the recipe featured in the Wild Chef column in this month's issue of Field & Stream is Boyfriend's.

In case the words in the photo here aren't clear, I'll repeat them: "... Hank Shaw, author of the most enlightening wild game-and-fish cookery blog on the Internet."

Yeah, I know we all know that already (especially those who have eaten his food, and those who are about to...), but it's nice to be acknowledged in a respected publication.

The recipe? Braised Duck Niederwald. If you want to see the story, though, you've got to buy the mag, because it isn't online. It should be on news stands now...

Looks like I'm buying a magazine today. That's so cool. I bet Hank is tickled to death. As one who's been lucky enough to dine upon Hank's gourmet preparations, I have to say that I'm not surprised one bit.

Oh no!! I must have another dinner before Hank is swept away to cook for the stars and has no time for the rest of us peons.

That is cool! we subscribe to Field&Stream so am glad for the heads up!... I've never turkey hunted before and am seriously thinking I'd like to try it... has boyfriend got some good turkey recipes?

Suzee, I can't be sure because in my house, I just eat and clean the catbox. But I'm thinking it's a good guess he's got some recipes on his site, Hunter Angler Gardener Cook.

It's pretty searchable. I think. Like I said, I don't cook. My kitchen skills have atrophied in his presence. I just mill around like a cat when I'm hungry and he feeds me.

Congratulations Hank! That's marvelous. I'll have to go and buy a copy of the magazine. I've never eaten a meal you've cooked, not yet anyway, but I do love your blog.

Read your blog NorCal, leaned over grabbed F&S as it just came today and there it is on page 37. Now I got to drool all the way home to get dinner. Should have waited till after dinner to look it up. We will check out his site.

I look forward to when he has his own T.V. spot to feature his creations.
